Syllabus for Written Examination:
Paper I: English (Degree Standard) Essay
along with questions will be given we
have to write answers by reading the essay , paragraph writing , report writing
comprehension, précis, letter writing, ,
translation from English to Telugu would be included.
The candidate should understand of the English language, its
correct usage and ability of writing would be tested.
Paper II: Telugu (Degree Standard)
Essay along with
questions will be given we have to write
answers by reading the essay , paragraph writing , report writing comprehension, précis, letter writing, ,
translation from Telugu to English would be included.
The candidate’s should able to understand the telugu language, its correct usage and
ability of writing would be tested.
Paper III: Arithmetic (SSC Standard) & Test
of Reasoning / Mental Ability (200 Questions)
Arithmetic: following concepts should be prepared in
this session
1.) Number systems 8.) simple interest
2.) compound interest 9.) ratio & proportion
3.) average 10.)
percentage
4.) profit & loss 11.) time & work
5.) work & wages 12.)
time & distance
6.) clocks & calendars 13.) partnership
7.) mensuration 14.)
speed & distance etc…
Test of Reasoning: It will include questions of both verbal &
non-verbal type and include similarities and differences, spatial visualization,
question on analogies, spatial orientation analysis, decision making, judgment,
visual memory, problem solving skills etc…
Paper IV: General Studies (Degree Standard) (200
Questions)
1. General Science –
2. Current events of
national and international importance.
3. History of India –
4. Geography of India
5. Indian Polity and Economy .
TELANGANA Subinspector (SI) Selection Process: TELANGANA Police SI Exam Selection Process

Selection Procedure: Candidates will be Shorlisted based on their performance in Primary selection
Test, Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Written Examination.
I. Primary Selection Test: In This selection test, candidates have to run
for 2.5 kilo metres within 16 min’s for Stipendiary Cadet Trainee SI of Police
(Civil) (Women) in Police Department post and run for Five (5) kms with in 25 min’s
for remaining all posts.
III. Written Examination: Candidates who qualify in the Physical
Efficiency Test will be required to appear for a written examination having 4
papers
Paper I - English,
Paper II- Telugu,
Paper III -
Arithmetic , Reasoning , Mental Ability (Objective type) .
Paper IV - General
Studies (Objective type).
The
minimum marks we have to get to qualify in the written examination is 40% for
OCs; 35% for BCs; and 30% for SC and ST categories in each paper.

NOTE:
The aspirants who donot secure qualifying marks in papers I and II will not be considered further rounds irrespective of their performance in papers III & IV. The marks got in papers I and II will not be taken into account for final selection process.

When two or more
candidates get equal marks, preference will be given to the candidate who was
born earlier
